Testing and Certification

When you are ready to start your Program, your Student Account will be activated by the Spas2b Inc. Head Office. From this date of activation, you will have a maximum of six (6) months to complete your Distance Learning Course of Study.

There are two stages to the Testing and Certification process:

1. Self-Monitor your progress throughout your Learning Experience

   To aid you in your efforts and encourage a fruitful outcome for you, we have developed a light, self-paced Testing and Certification Program in tandem with your Learning Package. Within your Distance Learning Package you will find your Self-Assessments and Answers Manual. This Manual contains a review of the information contained in each individual Module. These Self-Assessments are not marked. They are simply made available for you to measure your understanding of the material that you just covered. We have used a combination of techniques to allow you to score yourself, which include:

   • Placing answers in order of importance;
   • Multiple choice;
   • True or false.

2. Take the Final Assessment Online

   Upon completion of your Distance Learning Program, you will be ready to take your online Final Assessment to achieve your Spa Management Certification. This Final Assessment is a combination of questions that have been drawn randomly from the Self-Assessments that you worked with previously in each module. If after your first attempt at writing this Final Assessment you did not score the minimum passing grade of 70%, you are allowed up to a maximum of two (2) additional re-writes.

Obtaining your Certificate of Achievement

Once you have passed your online Final Assessment, your Spas2b Spa Management Certificate of Achievement will be mailed from the Spas2b Inc. Head Office to you - Congratulations!

Tools and Technical Requirements

In order for you to enjoy this Learning Package to the fullest, you will require:

1. A full understanding of the English language, both written and verbal;
2. A Microsoft Windows computer with Microsoft Excel 2000 or greater and Microsoft Word 2000 or greater OR an Apple computer with Microsoft Office 2004 or greater;
3. A DVD player.

Many students in your same position will be participating in the sharing and the give and take, allowing you to develop a network of alliances and colleagues to last throughout your career.
